  • PARCC Assessment
     
    Please take a moment to review the following letter from Mr. Bergamini regarding the PARCC Assessment.
     
    The PARCC (Partnership for the Assessment of College and Career Readiness) is a computer-based test that will assess and measure our students on their understanding of the Common Core State Standards in the content areas of Mathematics and English Language Arts/Literacy.
     
    The PARCC Assessment will be administered in two parts. There will be a problem-based assessment in March, followed by an End of the Year Assessment in late April and early May.
    The assessments will be given using the following schedule:
     
    Performance-Based Assessment
    8th Grade: March 2-6
    7th Grade: March 9-13
    6th Grade: March 2-6
    5th Grade: March 9-13
    Make-up testing: March-27
     
    End of the Year Assessment
     8th Grade: April 27-30
    7th Grade: May 4-7
    6th Grade: April 27-30
    5th Grade: May 5-7
    Make-up testing: May 11-22

  • Concussion Management Program
     
     The Valley Hospital Sports Institute is hosting ImPACT and Balance Baseline Testing programs in February and March. 
    Pre-registration is required.

  • Hawks Talks
     
    The winter edition of the student newspaper, Hawks Talks, is now available.
    This volume includes a review of the fall sports season, interesting tidbits about staff members, and an overview of the new school schedule.
    The student staff did a great job putting this issue together with the help of the advisers, Mrs. LaVigne and Mrs. Reese.
