  • Food Allergy Update

It has come to our attention that the Shop Rite bakeries are now notifying customers that their products are baked/prepared/packaged in facilities that use peanuts and tree nuts in some of their products.  This notification is posted in the stores and NOT included on their labels.  As a result of this new practice, Shop Rite baked products are no longer acceptable to be served as classroom treats.  Please note that this decision was made to ensure consistency with our district-approved Food Allergy Guidelines.  These guidelines can be reviewed on the Health Office websites for each of our schools.  In the coming weeks, we will provide further updates concerning this issue.  We appreciate all of your efforts as we do our best to keep our students with life-threatening food allergies safe during the school day.
